Stardoll.com - The Story (Part 1)

Plus i wanna do the whole story cause we had also the makeover of 2010. So read the part 1 again and i'll be gathering infos for the part 2.
were captured from videos that's why they are not that clear.....Parts of the story  i used are from the archive of Stardoll's Designers Blog.

Stardoll was orinally named paperdoll heaven. There was not Stardoll.com. There was paperdollheaven.com.

 It started out as the hobby of the Scandinavian-born Liisa. Inspired by a childhood passion for paperdolls, Liisa started drawing dolls and accompanying wardrobes and taught herself web design. Her personal homepage rapidly became a popular destination for teens. In 2004, with the help of her son, she upgraded the site and called it Paperdoll Heaven. "Most online sites are focused on violence and competitiveness", says Liisa. "I wanted to create a positive online environment for young girls who are creative and interested in fashion. They are looking for alternatives to shoot 'em up and kill 'em up games." Liisa is still an important part of the Stardoll family and she makes new paper dolls every week which you can find at Stardoll.com, your paper doll heaven!

So in 2004 stardoll.com well actually paperdollheaven.com was looking like this:

Somewhere on December of 2004 the site was upgraded and was looking like this:

and only couple of months later the site started to grow fast so the Log In buttons appeared

On March of 2005 Paperdollheaven.com

Became the one that we know today

One year Later (April, 2006)there was a very big makeover and Stardoll

Started to look like we have used to. 

Of course today looks also different cause of the 2010 makeover.

July 2006: Stardolls introduce Medolls and a Shop (which later will be the Starplaza)
December 2006: Stardoll introdues "The Show" (Stardoll Magazine)
February 2007:Stardoll Introduces Male medolls for the first time
July 2007: Stardoll introduces Superstar Membership and Clubs.
October 2007: Stardoll introduces "Stardesign"
July 2008:Stardoll introduces "Sceneries"
